Discover the principles of faith taught by the mothers of Helaman’s stripling warriors. Read Alma 56:45–48 and 57:21. Review what “The Family: A Proclamation to the World”  says about a mother’s role. With a mother, grandmother, or leader, discuss the qualities a woman needs in order to teach children to have faith and to base their decisions on gospel truths. How can these principles help you in your life today and help you prepare to be a faithful woman, wife, and mother? Record your thoughts and feelings in your journal.

de stijders van Helaman twijfelde niet aan de winst van de Lamanieten omdat ze wisten dat God aan hun zijde stond. Hun moders hadden hen dat geleerd. Dus met geloof is er geen Angst. deze 2 gaan niet samen. in 57:21 blijkt dat ze hun geloof toonde door 100% gehoorzaam te zijn. Dit alles geleerd door hun moeders zij speelde een erg belangrijke rol.

Zegt het volgende over moederschap:

"Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. “Children are an heritage of the Lord” (Psalms 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, to teach them to love and serve one another, to observe the commandments of God and to be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives—mothers and fathers—will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations."

"By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed."

Ik heb al een aantal keren in mijn leven met mijn moeder over hett moederschap gesproken. Wat ik hieruit geleerd heb is dat al de waardes van mijn persoonlijke vooruitgan belangrijk zijn in het leven van een kind. Als moeder moet je hier een voorbeeld in zijn.
Vooral consequent zijn is een belangrijk onderdeel. hierdoor weet een kind waar het aan toe is.

Gedachten:
Ik heb echt respect voor de moeders van de strijders van Helaman. Hun zonen gingen niet ten strijden met de kennis dat ze alle benodigde verdedigings technieken van hun vaders hadden geleerd, dit omdat die in hun plaats de wapens letterlijk hadden begraven en gezworen hadden ze nooit meer op te pakken. Nee deze zonen gingen ten strijden met de kennis dat als zij 100% gehoorzaam zouden zijn aan God, Helaman en hun ouders dat zij zouden overwinnen en dit alles omdat hun moeders hen dit had geleerd.
